What Really Happened?

I couldn't follow Bill Duffy's explanation or Thomas' growing understanding in the bar at the end. Good film all said, the 5.6 rating is maybe a little low.

What really happened is there is no twist. The only difference between what looks like is going on, and what is REALLY going on, is that they're not in Mexico and the badguys aren't part of a cartel. Everything else is just badly acted WYSIWYG.

No there is a twist, the moron above is just too dim to see it through his negativity.(even though he fully explained it)

Like the negative shill said, It was all a con... All the copters, cartels, and cartel leaders were made up so they could rob the drug house. It was an average mediocre film. Your 5.6 rating is about right.

Bill was not apart of any cartel, neither were his associates. They stalked Thomas and set him up the entire time, including arranging the minor car accident, kidnapping him and using certain audio clips to play tricks on his mind, all to urge him to get his family to commit the robbery of a drug dealer. So it wasn't only that Thomas's family was helping to smuggle drugs, it was his family helping them to do a house robbery! Thomas's sister Claire was killed because his father involved the cops. Also Thomas's doctor, Robert Michaels, killed the guys who were holding his wife and daughter hostage after Thomas's father called for help.

Honestly though, the direction and writing could have been better.

The film seemed more complex than it really was. I kept thinking there was going to be some big tie in between his doctor visits and the rest of the film but there wasn't. Everything that happened with his Doctor seemed almost like another film all together. Either it was really badly written or i missed something big.
