Disney princesses sound different

I only saw jasmine, Cinderella and ariel appear in sofia the first only. Cinderella has a new voice actor yes but the 2 other princesses are the same voice actresses but they sound different.

It could be because they havnt voiced their characters for years and probably not use to it.

I noticed this too. I assumed it was a pitch correction to accommodate for age. For most of these Disney princesses it has been about 20 years (at least) since they were originally voiced.

I'm sure they are pitching their voices higher to sound younger (or being modulated). Usually they have one (or maybe 2) actors who voice the characters for everything (sound books, games, attractions, etc.). So it's not that they haven't done it in a while, most of them have still voiced the characters regularly for 20+ years... they are just older.

It's been 22 years since Aladdin and 26 years since The Little Mermaid. Voices alter slightly over time. I'm just glad they stuck with the original voice actors. I missed Paige voicing Belle.

Jodi sounded pretty much the same to me. But Linda's voice was so off that one can only deduce that it has changed with age, and as such, she can no longer do a credible Jasmine. The strain in the performance was clear. In fact, I was convinced that it was another actress until I saw the credits. It saddens me.

The main reason why some of the Disney Princesses sound different is because it's cheaper to get new voice actresses rather than stick with the original voice actors for money reasons. Take for instance many of the original voice actresses of the Disney Princesses are no longer living like Ilene Woods who originally voiced Cinderella and Adriana Casilotti who was the original voice of Snow White and so Disney has to try to find new voice actresses who sound like Cinderella and Snow White. In Sofia The First Jennifer Hale brings new life to Cinderella and considering she voices Cinderella in Cinderella II and III and Jennifer does a great job. But one thing I'll never understand is why Belle is voiced by Julie Nathanson when they could've gotten Paige O'Hara the original voice of Belle or even Susan Egan for the Sofia The First episode The Amulet And The Anthem? Seems shocking and surprising to me in my opinion. But I was surprised to see Jodi Benson as Ariel in the episode The Floating Palace and she still sounds amazing as Ariel and considering that Jodi Benson is still fabulous she is the only actress who can bring Ariel to life well. As for Jasmine's voice Linda Larkin "now Linda Larkin-Vasquez" still voices Jasmine to perfection but Jasmine's singing voice is performed by Lea Solonga in the episode Two To Tangu and she is still awesome singing as Jasmine. But my favorite Sofia The First Princess episode is Winter's Gift because it holds a special place in my heart mainly because my favorite princess Tiana takes center stage and Anika Noni Rose is flawless as Tiana and Anika Noni Rose's song that she sings as Tiana From The Heart is wonderful. But although the Sofia The First series has ended it sure would be nice if there was a spin-off series of Sofia The First featuring Sofia interacting with the Disney Princesses and that would work magic for Disney Junior if it would exist
