Is this a remake of the movie 'The War'?

The movie sounds like a remake the Kevin Costner movie "The War"
In that movie, a bunch of kids take war games too far also.

It's true there is a similarity in the young characters' intensity but that's where the resemblance ends. The plots are wholly different as are the boys' characters and the conclusion is far more optimistic. (Another film in which youngsters' conflicts become far too serious is 'Twelve And Holding' - though in that one parental interference is also a factor.)

I could see how someone would get caught up thinking its like WAR but it's not .I think War was a better film but this film was just experimental it was still good but fell short of meaning ;which War provides .I Declare War is just experimental film which gets lost in the details of a child imagination it leads to nothing and goes no where .War has a greater meaning than this film could ever have there is just no meaning to this film other than seeing kids shoot at each other with pretend real guns .

Humankind cannot bear very much reality
