Question about Nelson (spoiler)?

So why did Nelson all of a sudden decide to tell the cop Susan was at Jeffersons? The whole movie it seemed like Nelson didn't like her and was apart of the whole plan to harvest people. It just didn't seem to make any since, other then the movie had already ran 2 hours to long and they just wanted to end it.

I am guessing after the scene where Dr. Lindquist and Oren decide to make Dr. Stark a coma patient and send him to Jefferson Memorial, that he developed somewhat of a guilty conscience. When they brought Susan in for silencing at the Jefferson, I gather he was called in, maybe to let Prof Hillside know that they placed Dr. Stark in the coma lineup. He may have discovered Susan was there and again his guilty conscience got the better of him, and then one final time at the memorial for Dr. Stark.

SPOILER

Considering the fact that Dr. Nelson is head of Anesthesia at the hospital, he would have known at a glance what was happening to Susan. The numbers on the propofol pump, when he rescues her, indicate that she hadn't gotten much propofol in the first place (the amount to be dispensed is the same as when Emerson started it.)

Here's the scenario as I imagine it: Dr. Nelson was already there and may have seen what Emerson was doing. If not, he arrived shortly after Susan went unconscious. It doesn't take long for propofol to wear off (about ten minutes)and Susan was already moving her hand when Dr. Nelson left the room. He was definitely standing over her long enough for her to emerge from the drowning nightmare and see his shadow over her. He had already lowered the dose on the pump, as he only has to drop the dose from 2.0 to zero. He must have waited to see that she was going to survive before he removed her restraints and turned off the pump.

Banimal, Dr. Nelson is also Assistant Cheif of Staff at Peachtree Memorial, that was probably why he was at the Jefferson Institute as it seems all the higher ups in the hospital with the probable exception of Dr. Stark were somehow involved in the secret of the Jefferson Institute. But I do like your premise.

Oh yes, I know he was part of it. Clearly, the Ethics committee was an "Unethical committee"... They were all involved. It's a good thing that Mark Bellows alienated himself from them!
