If you consider the facts of this objectively, you'd find that Tippi Hedren is most likely lying.
First, she claims that Hitchcock ruined her career by keeping her under contract and not letting here work elsewhere. TRUTH: Hitchcock sold her contract to Universal shortly after "Marnie." Hedren then had a part in a Charlie Chaplin movie and shortly after THAT, Universal released her from her contract. So this claim by Tippi is an outright lie.
Secondly, this movie actually embellishes on the book. If you're so convinced that this movie is factual, I invite you to read the book it is based on. You'll see that the movie has plenty of events in it that were not in the book. You can't watch a film objectively that doesn't even stay true to its own source material.
Third, why is Tippi Hedren the ONLY actress who has made this claim about Hitchcock. Sexual predators do not tend to only focus on one person throughout their life.
Fourth,Tippi has NOT always maintained this story. In fact, she had nothing but great things to say about Alfred Hitchcock during his life. She NEVER said a bad word about him until 2 years after he died when her career was in the toilet and she had the opportunity to get publicity by defaming a famous director.
In fact, Hedren has been called on this several times. Each time she says that she didn't want to destroy the man as a director because she could separate the man from the director. It's so odd that she has so much respect for a man who ruined her career and made her life miserable. Utter nonsense.
Her story has consistently changed throughout the years. In fact, just recently she has added sexual assault to the claims of sexual harassment. It's odd that although she has been claiming these things since 1982 that she waits until 2016 to add sexual assault as one of the charges.
John Brown's widow denies that Brown confirmed ANY of Hedren's claims and that he felt he was being interviewed for a movie that was going to be positive about Hitchcock.
But when all is said and done, the one thing that totally proves that Hedren is a liar is that her major claim has been completely debunked. Her major claim that he ruined her career after Marnie by not letting her work is utter bull crap. As I mentioned, he sold her contract right after Marnie and it was Universal who terminated it.
So that is why you can't look at this piece of crap objectively. It's not objective. It's full of bull based on a premise that has already been debunked.
