was Marc gay?

He loves fashion, wears high heel shoes and loves the girls "like sisters"...he sounded gay to me, is he gay in real life?...the real thief not the actor

reply

Okay well, not all gay people are like that just to make it clear. But yes, the real life character is gay.

I know it makes little sense, but I felt like he just acted gay so he would be accepted by Rebbeca & co

reply

He is, without question, homosexual. There's lines in the script where it's 100% clear that he likes men. The actor has also spoken about the character being homosexual.

He was gay, in the scene where him and Rebecca were going to rob that first guy's house (the guy that Marc knew), he mentioned he thought he was hot.

reply

He was, he just wasn't cliched flamboyant about it, the actor talks about it on the DVD.

He was gay. But I actually loved the writers and actors choice to just make it an ATTRIBUTE of him and not his defining characteristic. So often films feel they should have a "gay" character so they make that define the character.

Yes, the character of Marc (based on Nick Prugo) is gay in this film like his real life counterpart. Marc likes fashion and like wearing women's high heeled shoes and only treats the rest of the group like sisters. It's all a dead give-away. In many scenes in the film, you'll see that unlike most adolescent teenage boys, Marc doesn't get exited, aroused or uncomfortable around the rest of girls... even when they are changing clothes right in front of him.

In real life, Nick Prugo "came out" to his parents after his criminal conviction for the robberies.

Possibly. He was really gentle.
