Emma Watson ruined this movie for me

I just didn't buy it. The way she spoke, her mannerisms, were so unrealistic.

I cringed whenever she was on screen. Too bad. :(

reply

Me too. The girl that played Chloe was great though for barely being in anything.

reply

Yeah. I liked her last scene but in the rest of the film, her performance was so forced and her American accent was weak.

...No, it was NOT fine. It wasn't fine at all.

If listening to Katy Perry and drinking margaritas makes you gay, who wants to be straight!

reply

Good one, Yorick_Brown!

reply

I thought so too, but then I went and watched interviews of Alexis Neiers and she is ACTUALLY speaking and acting like that. Emma's impression is 100% on point!
Just check this:

You're right, holiday. If you saw the reality series, "Pretty Wild," Emma Watson nailed the performance. She had the voice, the body gestures, and every nuance of Alexis Neiers down perfectly.

reply

Watson gave the best performance.

reply

"Watson gave the best performance."

Haven't seen it yet but isn't she the lead so she had the biggest opportunity to impress !

Taissa Farmiga is my favourite, I must see it for her.

reply

Wow! When I saw the movie, I thought Emma Watson was overacting the whole thing, but when I saw the interview, it's spot-on!

WHAT THE FVCK IS A BIEBER????

reply

Sorry, I still don't buy Emma's performance in this one.
It's too obvious that she's imitating someone that it does not seem real at all, she's over exaggerating, it's no longer natural, it does not come out from her internally, it's a very forced thing.

reply

Well to anyone who thinks Emma 'acted' too hard, please YouTube Alexis Neiers. She talks like that. Exactly like that. In the scene where Kate from Vanity Fair interviews Nicki, the over pronouncements and quasi-Madonna accent was spot on.

A person hates you because they either wanna be you, see you as a threat, or hate themself

reply

Over exaggerating is not a word.

reply

This is just YOUR problem. I saw her without having ever seen this alixis, and she was pretty okay. You seem just some sad Yank that can't deal with a British actor being better than Yanks.

reply

And it's always the crooked teeth Brits to start calling people yanks. Stick to your *beep* "London tough guys" movie. I know you Brits love that trash. If you got a probably with us "Yanks" then don't use our websites or watch our movies moron. Enjoy another low budget "Street Gangs of Essex" *beep*

State champ in martial arts, trained with firearms, I eFF'n dare you!

reply

Yes, but the girl in the first movie did not act like a celebrity which was important. Emma should have avoided the videos posted here so that she would not be tainted by 'the act'. At first, they were a bunch of giddy teenagers stealing from Paris Hilton, then Alexis got a tv show and became Paris later. Will the real emma watson please stand up?

reply

Move to the Hills and you will realize that she was VERY realistic. It's pretty sad.

reply

I think the movie ruined emma watson. Please god dont let her career now consist of one vapid hollywood romcom after another. America ruins once promising foreign actresses....kate beckinsale comes to mind.

reply

Shut the hell up. No ones ruining *beep* You obviously know nothing of this celebrity culture. It's fun for an actor to play the "dumb" role for once. It's called being versatile. Maybe, she didn't want to be called Hermione anymore.

reply

the way she spoke was 100 percent on the spot though
listen to the real alexis neires, she sounds exactly like that! she studied alexis from her reality show and she did realy well

reply

[deleted]

She was the only one who seemed most believable to me. Only because I know somebody who acts almost identical to her character.

reply

Her amazingly poor American accent was the distraction for me. Even worse, it sounded exactly like her "oh my gawd" imitation of her American college buddies on Letterman once (it's on YouTube, check it out).

But good golly, did she look gorgeous, or what.
