Doris is just lovely.

She is one smart cookie. Yes she's a white collar criminal but she's a wonderful person IMO.

You're missing the point. "White" white collar criminals get away with the like on a daily basis. I urge you to name one that's been condemned. Just look at some of our leaders and corporate heads that pull this kind of sleight of hand over the American public routinely. Yet because it's on a bigger scale its chalked up to the status quo.

I completely agree with you, right down the line, bluesdoctor!

There is nothing "lovely" about this creature and I don't find any other lawless criminals "lovely", either. In any way!

It tells me a lot about the character (or lack thereof) and values of a person who finds a common criminal like Doris Payne "lovely" and when confronted with logic and facts, attempts to justify it by essentially saying, "stuff other people do is just as bad". There is no justification!

It disgusted me to read what the OP posted!

Sing until your throat hurts, dance until your legs hurt, act until you're William Hurt.

The movie's blaming her criminality on racism

Agenda posting at its finest...the film didn't do that yet again you see what you wana see.

THEY SHOOTIN'! ah, i made you look.

She was smart at one time. Not anymore.

It is a fascinating story indeed. Ignore people like bluesdoctor, he likes to troll any and all documentary boards that involve Black women and their life stories. Some people are not fans of our history.

Glad i wasn't the only one that noticed this.

She is such an interesting figure and hilariously funny. I just watched her documentary in netflix and I checked the headlines, she's still doing the same. She just got arrested again. She's charming and it is easy to see how she got away from all those thefts.

Yeah.

It's ok to like more than one actor. :))
