He was the only one who seemed to be having any fun. Everything and everyone else seemed to be way too serious.

Yippee: "For king!"
Yappee: "For country!"
Yahooie: "And, most of all, for 10¢ an hour!"

And he is also the main reason I hated it. I love the original grandpa so much that I was appalled by how they portrayed him in the remake. Also I am being a bit biased because I hate Izzard.

Izzard is awful.
Making that creepy old man the center of the show is what killed it.

Although I am an Izzard fan, I like to think I'm not terribly biased. I'm okay with admitting when he misses the mark, but I thought he was great in this. He obviously enjoyed playing Grandpa, and though the character was drastically changed, I like what they did with him.

I thought Mason Cook and Charity Wakefield were great too. I loved Marilyn, and I especially liked her relationship with Grandpa. Really wish they had given this show a chance, even just one season to see how the characters would have developed.

If I have to be like them, I'd rather be no one.
