I really don't understand the hate

I mean I can understand that people love the original series, and how this is nothing like it. If you don't like it, just don't watch it.

I don't understand why people keep saying "I hope this never comes back on!" and "Cancel this garbage!"
There are clearly people who do like it (I thought it was great) so why would you want to ruin it for other people by wishing it was off the air?

Is it really so hard to ignore something you don't like on TV? (I personally thought Sex & the City was complete drivel but plenty of other people liked it, so guess what? I ignored it and left other people to enjoy it.)

I think people just like to hate things as a hobby anymore.

reply

Hateful conservative old people who can't accept that the media isn't about them anymore.

reply

I just wanted to see it to see if it would be good. It wasn't (at least to me), but it should have at least been given the chance.

Exactly! There are shows I don't like and I just change to a different channel when it's on. I don't rant and rave for it to be cancelled or taken off the air. There are so many channels and shows out there to choose from.

I saw it and thought that the idea of monsters was right but don't do the Munsters! Have you seen the original show? It was a family comedy and they were never mean! Grandpa would never drink people. Its that people remember the show how it was and remake just wasn't the same. The show could work if did differant characters. Don't re make a family show and turn it into a show that kids can not watch with mom and dad.

Only worthless old people remember it. Who cares about them?

I completely agree with you. Don't remake a family show and turn it into a show that kids can not watch with mom and dad.

With today's Hollywood, Next up is probably a remake of Mr. Ed where both Wilbur and his horse Mr. Ed are alcoholics who constantly get drunk and are very very bawdy and risque.

with very bawdy and very risque humor in the show.

"Hello. I'm Mishter Ed"

A horsrhe is a horshe of courshe of courshe. And no one can talk to a horshe of courshe that ish of courshe unlesshh the horshe is the famoush Mishter Ed. go right to the sourche and ashk the horsche. Several shows have done so already, and so far they have all failed.

How do you know whether or not you like something, if you don't watch it? Moron.

reply

Do I really have to spell out the step to say "watch it first, and if you don't like it don't watch it" ? Because if I do, then maybe I'm not the moron here

reply

As it only aired once, that solves the "don't watch it" problem.

if it's not on the air anymore you won... what's the problem? forget it existed

Just like we haven't stopped commenting on shows that no longer air, we're still free to give opinions on this one.

I agree this show was actually remade once already though it was still a straight comedy. It was called The Munsters Today and took place in modern day 1980s-90's. Though the show was a complete continuation of where the old show left off.
I thought it was really good though. It had potential, the cast was pretty top notch as well.

reply

I thought it was fun. It wasn't just a complete redo but I thought it tried to make it its own. I wish it had been given a real chance.

reply

Hey, as a fan of the old show, I was all set to hate this "reboot". But I found it subversive and witty. I also wish it had been given a chance.
