Supremely Disgusting

Yet I still watched it.

Mostly to see how he would get away with it and a little bit for Paris (Ewen). I have to give it to them. Whoever organised the pacing. It's just right for maximal intrigue and maximal gross out effect.

But I nearly vomited on myself at multiple points... So eww!

Not new, just squeamish. I had warning on the cup thing. I don't watch things like this usually. Like human centipede? Haven't watched that yet.

Blood and gore is one thing, but shït coming into contact with people's mouth? Nah. My greatest fear is probably cholera... Gondor don't play.

I studied medicine for years. Gore and blood are not the absolute worst thing in the world . Really advanced cancer that's reached the skin, open abscesses, rot and faeces. That my top 4 eww scenarios. It's the odour.

Blood is just blood. It looks bad when it's clotting, is all. Gore is what really, some ruptured organs and broken skin? When you wash up and clean the blood and gore, it's not the worst thing. I think it is more of a fear/panic response. You wouldn't vomit or be disgusted by someone coming up to you bleeding. If it got in your mouth you'd think about HIV or something.

Rot and faeces have that stench though that you really take extra note of. That's not a scent that make you go, "I wouldn't mind this getting in my mouth. No biggie." There's no evolutionary upside to being okay with faeces coming into contact with your mouth, I don't think.

There is no "smell" in film.

There is though, because we know what it smells like irl, and they go to pains to evoke the scent involved. Hugo Weaving calls him Shït Breath, remember? We can imagine easily how disgusting it would be talking to someone and realising that their breath smelt like *beep*

Well, people process sex and nudity different than violence. Meaning children, really. The worst effect violence can have is limited to what, those children who live in houses with easy gun access? Most aren't going to go wild and try anything, but I'd be creeped out by some child watching some primetime show with tons of nudity and sex in it. If you think about it from that angle of potential damage to children who aren't at the proper developmental stage, it makes sense. It's not like they've banned pornographic stuff, it's just not in the display case. That said, if Cinemax and Starz took over the world's TV, except for Canada who I find are just right, I'd be happy. Idk, I'm peeved a little by the language censorship. There is no one watching, say a comedy on Fx who would be scarred for life by some obscene language. You'd allow them to say bang but not *beep* when everyone knows what they are meaning to say but you can't because why? That is my problem with American TV censorship.

I thought when the one cop was digging through his poo in the toilet looking for the drugs was DISGUSTING. Worse than Ray re-swallowing his poop-laded condoms. I literally almost lost it in that scene, his hands just rummaging through Ray's............uggh, I can't even type this without getting nauseous.
