I know Asylum like to copy popular films but there seems to be a lot in the trailer that makes it look like the little British film Outpost.
It kind of makes sense to clone it as the big budget sequel "Outpost II: Black Sun" is due for release and Part III is currently filming.

shareNo, if it was a knock off of that there would a super hero figure in the movie and it would be called "Captain USA" or something similar and it would be more obvious.
I'm not a Marvel fan and don't watch their movies but I am wondering what the similarities are since all I know about their movie is that it's set during WW2 and he fights Nazis (although someone told me they never use the word Nazi and kind of gloss over their involvement at all, to avoid offending international markets). Is that the only point of similarity or is there more?
