Never skateboarded in my life but

This was one of the best documentaries I've seen in a long time. I watched it after it was recommended because I watched Dogtown and Z-boys. I only watched that one because of the music and thought it was excellent also. But Bones Bridgade took it to another level. These group of kids were almost like a dynasty sports team without all the horrible politics that sports stars have to put up with. The interpersonal relationships is what made this documentary so special. It felt like I was watching a special kind of coming of age story! Amazing work!

Glad you enjoyed it and it's interesting to see how non skaters would view this or other skate docs. I've been skating/in the scene since 99 and your point of seeing this as a coming of age story hits at why I and many others love skating so much because we got to and get to see skaters grow up in a much more personal way then any of the pro athletes we like. I have maybe 100 skate vids that show the progression of the many skaters I liked on a personal level.
