Does anyone know what happened to the motel after the parents took it back? What happened to the young couple that gave up their jobs to run it? What about the nasty sister?

The tripadvisor page is still listed under the sea shell name, with the same policies in place. No credit cards, pet friendly, decor disasters. The follow up at the end of the episode was so sad. The young couple were way too optimistic and had very unrealistic expectations. Hope they are able to bounce back and land good jobs again. The family dynamics in this episode was insane.

The old man was a disgusting excuse for a human being. He comes to the US to make his fortune. He's successful enough to buy a hotel, and proceeds to rip off his customers, treat everyone with incredible rudeness, he's a crook. This is how he repays this country for the opportunities he was given here.

I dint know where he came from, but he should go back and take his horrible bitch daughter with him. Infuriating to watch.

I think this is one of the few episodes that deserves a follow up show.

Previous shows had owners with some experience taking over the ailing hotel. This show was unique in that the young couple had zero experience, but Anthony had a lot of trust in them. One guy was a nuclear engineer and the wife worked in the government. He was impressed with how quick they drafted a plan, all very clearn and methodical. Everything looked good.

But if the parents had to take the hotel back (I assume they couldn't take it by force since it was a contract), that must mean the young couple must've learned that renovating and fixing a financially-troubled hotel is a lot harder than thought.

They just took the hotel back because they wanted to sell it.
Get it on Hotel Impossible pretend you want to keep it in the family then turn around and screw the 2 people who were going to try to keep it in the family (daughter and her husband) and sell it off. Lets all say YEA for family...

I have noticed that in the past two years, a lot more of the hotel owners have blatantly lied about making changes, and have broken every promise. It is obvious they are just signing up to get all the free linen, furniture, and other free stuff.

Hotel Impossible gives away a lot more than any of these type of shows. Kitchen Nightmares basically gave restaurants a paint job and some floor tile and chairs, and Restaurant Impossible does the same, and adds a lot of junkyard decorations.

It is disappointing to see how some of the hotel owners are total scumbags.
