I used to love this show.....but

The show is starting to become formulaic and predictable. The last episode in Wisconsin was the worst, with a plot straight out of an old Hollywood movie: The evil owner/boss and her equally nefarious son, with a man bun (he gets some sympathy points because of his tracheotomy scar). The poor overwhelmed, humble shop keeper/manager with her sad story, a sick son, almost crying in Anthony's arms. The maid, loyal, downtrodden and overworked, still finding time to paint the room. Luckily, happilly ever after, by the end of the hour the manager keeps her job, manager of the restaurant, the maid with only the goodness in her heart becomes the manager of the hotel, training to come later.

I noticed on Xfinity On Demand, they have some different type of episodes available to watch. One calles Two Stepping Through Texas and the description says "Four Texas hoteliers compete for money by judging each others properties." I guess they're really running out of ideas.

I kind of liked those other spin offs they showed (like the hoteliers competing for a prize). You not only see extremely lovely and diverse hotels, but you also see the flipside of things, and witness how successful managers think and operate. They seem to have abundant energy, optimism, business intelligence (they sound very educated) and great eye for detail - many traits the Hotel Impossible "victims" lack - many of whom joined the hotel industry on a whim with no experience.
