Just curious....

I'm just wondering how hard they try to find the real owners of the bags....

I am sure the airlines spend a minute or two to try and locate the owners each month before they sell them. Nice system the airlines got though they charge you to carry your and take care of your bags then sell them to the highest bidder when they lose them

Label your bags inside and out so they don't end up on Baggage Battles.

~15, 20 years ago we had a (parents') family friend frequent Belgrade, from London, England. His bag(s) used to get lost, every now and again, actually quiet often -iirc- and ALWAYS he had to chase them down.. Even though he had all of that info. I'm guessing that airlines don't really give a flying **** in general.

Don't forget that in case of lost luggage, the travelers can be compensated for up to $3,000 for each piece.
