re-enactments?

When the Romany bloke was injured and then came into the caravan, it was remarkably convincing. Did he act it himself? The scrapping in the street was just like youtube messy fight footage... Was it 'cut' (oops!) with footage from another lively night out? If he acted it he's a bloody (oops) good actor!
