Was it said what happened to Meggy from '86 to '88?

I am an American viewer who just happened to catch the movie This is England - I am now hooked on this entire series. I just have one question, was it explained in any of the 3 episodes of '88 what happened to Meggy? I don't remember hearing any mention of Meggy but then again it is sometimes a little difficult to follow the English accents and words of the cast for an American like me. I can't wait for '90!

Ahhh thanks. So he survived dying while crapping once but not a second time huh? haha... And it is mentioned in the series? I must have totally missed that conversation maybe I'll watch it all again from the movie to season 1 & 2 again next weekend or when I have a bit of time to kill.

I'm not sure if it was mentioned in the series but the director confirmed he had another heart attack and died between 86 and 88.

Well - Meggy didn't die because he appears with Banjo at Woody and Lols wedding in the Finale in TIE 90.
