Sadly ironic

The father is so consumed with making money that he doesn't have time to enjoy his life, especially with his family. What good is having all that money if it only makes you miserable worrying about it?

Once again, the Bible's wisdom rings true:

"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

Matthew 6:19-21

This is a faithful saying...Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

I was thinking the same thing. Money mattered far too much to him, so when he didn't have any we got to see how much he really cares about his wife and children.

When the father said something about people who didn't want to be rich must be dead I knew that he had no philosophy of life worth listening to. There are some boring passages in this movie talking about money making.

What I was hoping to see what it was like to have a big home full of animals, but the animals are just possessions in this movie. There are no cute or funny moments in this film at all.
