Know why Cannon got trashed...because people actually talked about them

I'll guarantee you if people like Mark Hartley digged deep enough into a lot of these major studios over the last few decades and really did their homework they would be shocked to find that many of these majors like Fox or Warner Bros., or Paramount were just as bad as Cannon was involving a lot of the dirty things that went on behind the scenes. You think Paramount or Fox have never cut corners, or shuffled finances around to get films made? Don't make me laugh.

By the way I find it hilarious that Cannon got slapped with the reputation of shelling out schlock movies even when they were making great stuff like Runaway Train or Barfly or Lifeforce, meanwhile the majors got by on some of the stuff they continued make that the critics tore into. Paramount made EIGHT Friday the 13Th films even when the critics hated them and the studio execs themselves didn't want to keep doing them well they kept doing them and why....BECAUSE THEY MADE MONEY. Or how about New Line which have openly admitted they would never made it in the world had it not been for A Nightmare On Elm Street, and they made NINE of them. Or how about Dimension Films which has relied on many horror films like Hellraiser, Children of the Corn, Halloween, and Scream just to name a few.
