Robocop predicted Detroit's fate in 1987
In 1987's "Robocop" the future Detroit was portrayed as a crime-ridden dystopian wasteland. The present day Detroit has turned out just so and is hopeless.

That is so true----Detroit was already through in the '80's, what with a lot of plants closing and the '80's recession already having kicked in.
the riots of 1967 contributed a lot though decline had probably started before this
