Plot?

It involves some near-nuclear family disfunction, with a dangerous bit of the supernatural slipped in. If you want more spoilery synopses, you can check the ManeEntertainment or CompoundFracture sites, which have quite different write-ups, for some strange reason.

An extended family of three, an engaged couple (Mane and Geerlings) plus Mane's nephew (Saxon), are making a trip in the country to visit Mane's father (Watson). On the way there some peculiar sites are seen by Saxon and Mane. Arriving at his rich father's farm we see a heavily secured compound. But not traditionally secured. There are wards and lines of salt laid down all over get property and in the entrances to the house.
Inside the house, is a safe room, that features a computer controlling security cameras around the compound. Over the next while we discover a very poor relationship between Mane and his father, due to the cancer death of Mane's mother. Apparently she was curable but had no insurance while Mane's father was rich, and refused financial aid because she had left him previously. We also discover why Mane's nephew lives with him. Mane's sister (Angelo) was murdered by her estranged husband (Mears) right in front of Saxon and Geerlings. Mane then arrived and shot the husband to death.
The father's new wife (Easterbrook) communicates that the dad is becoming senile and obsessed with ghosts he thinks are pursuing him, thus why all the mystical wards. After he strikes her in front of everyone she says she is leaving him too. During this time the nephew starts seeing ghost images of his mother and father around the compound.
The next day as she is preparing to leave, Easterbrook is killed violently. Not by the father, it is by the ghost of the dead, murdering husband. The ghost also murders the Easterbrook's niece, who has come to pick her up, and two security guards responding to he alarm at the house going off. The family barricades themselves inside the house. It is now revealed that the family has the power to control their transition to the afterlife through wards carved on their forearm skin. This is so the family can spend eternity together in their residence. However the dead sister had also carved the rune in her husband's skin, thus why he is haunting them at the compound. Through some lore books they discover a way to apparently evict the unwanted ghost and successfully pull it off with the help of the sister's ghost. The movie ends but hints at the fact the murdering spirit might not actually be gone!
