We Need This Now!

We need this kind of protest and agitation to move along the laws and possible treatments for Autism. I'm not comparing the Autism to AIDS as it is not fatal but it is an epidemic which is incredibly underfunded and unsupported by the government. There are many groups that try to enforce civil rights and change the laws but we are all so darned nice about it and in the meantime our children are being discriminated against, denied essential treatment, denied appropriate education and adults are denied employment and services. We still have no idea what causes autism even though there are thousands of studies that no one body is pulling together. I think it's time to get angry and force change before we fail a whole generation of children who are counting on us.

p.s We should also agitate about the general standard of education in this country (USA) and the hold teachers unions have on the decision making process of what happens in our schools.
