For those who argue that Abigail Breslin wasn't right for the role

Here's one typical criticism:

To be fair, Breslin was sabotaged by the incompatible and unequally balanced facets of the script/production. More emphasis was placed on how pretty/attractive she looked than on making her a convincing assassin.

Veronica (Abigail) was cultivated by William (Bentley) to be an assassin, not appear on TV as a martial arts celebrity. Assassins are supposed to be inconspicuous, not openly pegged as a merciless slayer. That's why William had her dressed in pretty dresses, etc. She wasn't supposed to look like a kick axx assassin. It’s the same reason Capt. Willard (Martin Sheen) was picked by high command for his mission in “Apocalypse Now."

You'd think that a trained assassin would move swiftly between figures. Just like a martial artist. But she didn't looked like she knew how to fight. She looked like she was barely executing memorized choreographed moves. Didn't look natural. At all. Therefore, no.. she wasn't credible as an assassin.
