The ending

Can someone explain the ending for me. Cause I'm really confused with the whole pancake
thing. Thank you in advance.

I don't know why she said the pancakes were terrible. but I was wondering why nobody in the diner cared that a man was having dinner with a girl who looked all beat up.

I believe the ending implied that the girl and her trainer FINALLY had something in common - the common ground was that they both thought the pancakes were 'terrible'. After he said that they both smiled at each other - probably the first time in her life she felt 'connected' to him. Remember, he was always very emotionally cold and very inaccessible. This showed that they weren't completely 'unalike'.

The way I interpreted it was that they both allowed themselves to fall in love and by saying the pancakes were terrible was their way of saying, "Let's get out of here and get it on!". This is evident when Wes Bentley sprays the Cool Whip on her pancakes and how she licks it off with her finger without even touching the pancakes. A great ending to a good movie that could have been better had they concentrated more on these two characters.

Righttt I was gonna say.. she didn't even take a bite of the pancakes hahaha. The ending, the way I took it anyways, was that they went back to where it started (the diner where Veronica purposely lures in one of the killers) and kinda celebrated what she had accomplished. But who knows what the writers wanted us to think. Could be anything lol
