The english version was just made to be "spectacular" with the maya thing, which the author, Jacques Grimault, told manytimes it was complete BS.
He was stolen from his work by a greedy Producer, ans is now in trial to recover his copyrights.
He wants to release 6 others movie in the next years to explain fully his theory with cold facts.
