Looks like...
a more dramatic version of "Same Time, Next Year"
shareNo it doesn't.

How many lightbulbs does it take to change a man?
Definitely another "Same Time, Next Year," except a lot more believable, with many prurient scenes verging on soft porn thrown in. It's definitely more dramatic. And, IMHO, it ended with each partner having made too much of an emotional investment in the arrangement for there to be much doubt about how it's going to end. I also thought the movie presented enough of a feminist portrait of the woman played by Marin Ireland to make the movie believable in the present era. I'm sorry we didn't get to see who took the initiative to start the affair, although you're left with the impression that they both felt the chemistry between them and each grabbed the opportunity.
shareSame Time, Next Year was so much better... This was soulless... 'more drama' doesn't equal superior... this one had me for the first half, then it came apart...
