So they first met before the beginning of the movie?

There was something in the dialogue that seemed to imply that. Were we being shown their second meeting? And why not show their first, you suppose? Did they sleep together the first time they met, too? (I think probably so.)

Do you think the 28 meetings we were shown were all consecutive? That is, were there meant to be other, less consequential ones that occurred in between and were not shown?
