Self-indulgent tripe.

Maybe I'm just bitter.

I don't like Chris Messina. Well, I liked him a lot in The Giant Mechanical Man, and I tolerated his character in Ruby Sparks, but other than that he always seems to play the same smug, self-satisfied smart ass.

The whole movie felt like it lacked substance. I just couldn't get into the nature of the relationship and I never cared about either of the characters through the whole excruciating 82 minutes.

For some reason, with the lack of MPAA rating I thought it would be sexier, but maybe that's because the title seemed evocative of "9 Songs" to me.

Maybe the way you feel about the movie reflects your character as a person. (Shall we get all Freudian?)

Maybe you felt like it lacked substance and we never saw the true nature of the relationship because all of it was based on an affair based on sex. That's the whole problem with affairs, isn't it? It's really hard to pin down true feelings when physical feelings are so strong. Love or physical attraction? Maybe these two boneheads really felt love after Hotel Room # 15, I'm not sure, but it sure was hard to tell.

If you didn't see the draw of their relationship that says a lot for you. (I hope I'm right--if you're really a tool, don't tell me. Just let me go on with my happy mental pictures, please.) I personally couldn't see the attraction in a dude calling a girl a c--- and throwing her out in the hall. But I'm funny that way...

I tend to agree with you, though about Chris Messina. He pissed me off so much in The Newsroom, I was ready to kill him or stuff him back in Jane Fonda's vagina. GAH!

I don't think it was THAT bad, but I just couldn't buy the relationship. There's so much more to being with someone than sex and wonderful conversations locked up inside a hotel room.

Amy: I swear to God...I swear to God! That is NOT how you treat your human!
