They said sh#t

They said sh#t, unbleeped. I didn't know they could do that on TV.

FX is not one of those typical networks. They can get away with a lot more on there.

Basic cable shows have been able to do that for a while. You just realized it now?

Well it's actually understandable because while they are able to do so, many still do not.

reply

What do you mean 'many'? Nearly every recent non-family cable show out there uses the word.

Cable does not operate by the same rules as network television at all. Technically they could say *beep* and show naked women too. The only reason they don't is because of advertisers. Advertisers control everything.

Likewise, this is why some networks (like comedy central) get a little more lax about these thing during later hours. I've seen stand-up specials on CC that are completely uncensored (swearing and nudity).

Lately, some networks have been able to get away with more with advertisers. CC and FX both throw *beep* around like it's nothing. Man ass also seems to be the most common form of nudity on basic cable as well (which I think is a damn shame).

Remember, cable is not a slave to the FCC. It's a slave to advertisers. They are calling the shots.
