Yeah. Pure shite. I think I was tricked.

This movie was made for kids under the age of 10 and not in "The Goonies" sort of way. I overuse my Goonies references, I think. This film made new nauseous. I saw and disregarded the PG rating. That might be my first clue. This kid has the problems of a 10 year old, but he's got magic powers. Cool kid in the 6th grade doesn't like me? Why not? Don't know. Turn him into a lizard or a spider. Fire up the apocalypse. Make the sky rain frogs.

I must say, it's guaranteed that your 7-year-old will love this film. Play it over and over, they will. It's full of magical whimsy, a few fart jokes and puke.
