Oh, come on...seriously?!
I've talked to quite a few people who have deemed this film as "amazing, one of the best films ever, as good as Full Metal Jacket". And I just can't even fathom how they could make such claims. This movie was terrible. First off, let me just say that I like Andrew Garfield as an actor, but this role definitely wasn't for him. I feel the same way about Vince Vaughn. He's a great actor, but still, the casting choices were awful. And call me a cold hearted unsympathetic monster, but when it comes to a war film, last thing I want to see a film about a soldier who can't fire a weapon. I mean, come on. Give me a break. That plot doesn't exactly intrigue me. And a lot of people told me about the "super intense war scenes". I guess I failed to notice. This is why I don't have a whole lot of faith in war movies these days. They're always so overrated and over-hyped. Am I alone here?share
