Horrible mess. It's so bad I decided to make a post about it. Terrible acting, inconsistent tone of movie.

Agreed. I was expecting something like SPL or newer HK crime films mixed with action/mma. The final product is a garbage with mainland flavor.
shareye i'm disliking the mainland trend, i know they bring lots of money (both in investments and audience), but it didn't do the movie any good as a final product.
spl/flashpoint were like worth a 10/10 compared to this movie and even these two movies had flaws.
fights scenes were subpar to spl/flashpoint and let's not talk about the story with the crazy editing, leaving major gaps in the storyline. people complained about spl/flashpoints story where i thought spl had quite a great story (ok, nothing surprising) and flashpoint's story was kinda very predictable.
special id's story on the other hand was NOWHERE near predictable because it was so badly edited xD
Couldn't agree more. Expected SPL, Flashpoint kind of film and was majorly disappointed.
Plot is bad and even fight scenes are awful.
This film is more about showcasing that chick than Donnie Yen.
Don't waste your time.
