Gene Chizik

Watching Gene Chizik and listening to him talk during this documentary makes it obvious that he was just an empty head-set who coasted on the talents on his assistant coaches (especially Gus Malzahn), and the skill of Cam Newton. Every time he speaks during the documentary, it is nothing but bland, meaningless coach-speak straight out of the "Idiot's Guide to College Football cliches". No insight. No personality.

Credit for the bowl games, success, and national title Auburn had during the Chizik era belong completely to Gus Malzahn, because the only successful seasons Chizik EVER had as a head coach happened while Malzahn was his assistant. Then, after Malzahn leaves in 2012, Auburn collapses. The next year, Malazahn returns as head coach and leads the within a last second touchdown of another National Title.

So, let's not pretend that Gene Chizik has any damn clue what he's doing as a coach, or had anything to do with Auburn's title. He was just there because he looked like a college coach for the cameras.
