What movie would you like to end up in?

Imagine same thing happens and you wake up in a movie. Pick the movie and maybe explain a bit of what you think happens while you're in it.

Any Marvel movie from their cinematic universe. I just want to pal around with the Avengers and drink all of Tony Stark's booze haha. Plus there is always the possibility I could end up with powers of some sort. So that's always fun. :D

reply

True I wouldn't mind venturing into the Spiderman universe and getting bit by the spider if possible. Not sure I like the idea of being stuck in series like the characters in this movie though.

Hopefully a sequel happens that comes with a better ending.

Your odds of dying, when compared to the odds of getting powers, are much higher.

reply

So? There is always a possibility of death no matter where you go or what you do, even in real life. So your post does nothing other than point out the obvious...

reply

There's also the possibility that you'd be recast for the sequel.

An adult movie obvs. :)

I'd like to be put inside a more self-aware slasher like Scream to see just how much further I could take the meta concept.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World also looks like the kind of universe I'd enjoy living in, although I'm not sure what I would do if I got there. Maybe see if I was able to adapt some of the OTT'ness of those characters.

Speed? That film just looked like a lot of fun.

Oh yeah, Jumanji sounds pretty cool as well. Esp the bit where everything goes back to normal in the end

Dark City could be fun except for the controlled by the aliens bit. It would be fun if you knew what was happening, got to retain your memory, and you got to try many diffrent lifestyles.

Paprika is trippy and fun as well although you'd need that machine to get into other people's dreams.

Not really a film but I wish the world would turn into a Michel Gondry music video for a few minutes/hours as well.

Oh yeah, stylish dystopia films like Aeon Flux, Equilibrium, and Ultraviolet (haven't watched the last one but saw the trailer) would also be fun to explore just for a bit. Esp. Aeon Flux looks pretty cool aesthetically.

Great choices everybody.

What a fun question!

Please nobody laugh, but I would love to wake up in the film "Grease", attend Rydell High with Danny, Sandy, Rizzo and the gang and have fun with them all at the carnival in the end.

It's just such a happy, fun movie and I would have loved being a teen in the 50's.

Grease would at least be safe. The musical bits would be mighty hilarious. The car ride at the end too, where they ride off into the clouds is just so weird. Where do they go? This is never followed up on and they had a chance to update us in Grease 2 (they may have touched on this, but I will never watch Grease 2, never!).

Yeah those musical bits would be a riot. When I watched as a kid in the theater, I kept wondering where the hell the music is coming from when they instantly break out in song like that. And why the hell are they all doing it at the same time and so randomly LOL.

Come to think of it, this would make a great similar type flick along the lines of "The Final Girls"...being stuck inside a musical movie and being in the middle of all the singing/dancing numbers.

I'm sure this film will spawn a few copycats. But that's a good thing, because the concept is fun and original.

reply

Lol yeah I could see that happening. Standing there wondering where the music is coming from and the charaacters are looking at you wondering why you aren't singing. ha.

Similar things have been done in the past:

Enchanted (the musical scene)
Buffy (the musical episode)

Short films
I hate musicals

Although not the same, Pushing Daisies have scenes that kinda mock musicals
