This was incredibly stupid. I have a great sense of humor but Landis acts like he is the smartest guy in the room the entire time by making these outlandish claims of the story.

-You're going to hit that, aren't you?
-Like a big rig without brakes.

It was funny, but he obviously either read the story a long time ago and was working off of memory, heard it through second hand knowledge, or was just making stuff up to be funny.

Fact: 87.3% of IMDB users belong to the secret society of cynics.

He got the gist of the story correct, more or less. He also got the line up of the B-squad Justice League that was around at the time. Except I don't remember a "Titania". Were they referring to Maxima?

I really liked Maxima......

And whatever happened to Bloodwynd?

"Aw Dammit! Hot Bitches!"

I'm just going to quote a smart guy I know and say that Max clearly knows more about superheroes than most people because he wrote Chronicle.

Besides, only the hopelessly nerdy will care too much about the accuracy when we have the incredible performances we see in this video. Most notably Elijah Wood.

If you watched this on youtube it explains in the description that it's not entirely accurate. This was meant to be a parody to the 'Drunk History' shorts. He states that it didn't work out like that as much since he only made it through two or so drinks. Secondly he says that the original cut was somewhere closer to an hour in length (I think ~45 minutes) and that it had to get chopped out because it didn't go with the flow, it was not pertinent to the plot, etc. In short this style is deliberately supposed to deviate from what actually happened. If you watch the drunk history series you can see that the majority of the humor comes from inaccuracies of the storyteller in conjunction to the actors/actresses acting them out. If nothing else I admire that, in telling the story in this way, it gives the death and return of Superman a more comedic perspective as well as showing a pretty diverse cast of celebrities that did this strictly for the sake of fun and comedy. If this is not your brand of comedy then it's understandable; I just thought I'd shed some light into why the story was told the way it was.
