does not deserve such a low score

look, this is not a top notch production. It is an amateur effort in most respects. The acting isn't great and the editing and flow is a bit awkward. However, I've seen much worse amateur films. Actually, I've seen much worse studio produced films. Far too many, actually.

This film actually has some decent scares and some really creepy footage. It is rare to find a truly scary studio produced horror film these days, but this film had me cringing during some parts. That says a lot because I don't scare easily.

For some reason, the found footage thing gets people angry. Ever since blair witch, people are so quick to judge these types of films. I happen to prefer this genre of horror because it is the only one left that will at least have the possibility of being scary. I'll take this over a slasher flick any day.
