An english film set in London....
so why the fck were most of the actors foreign????
share-to reach international audiences with names?
-variety is the spice of life
-accents were acceptable (note: not brilliant)
-they had the best auditions potentially?

Yes, Elle Fanning was excellent, though Hendricks just sounded weird. To answer the OP: doing different accents is what actors do, it's part of their job, and nationality shouldn't be a criterion in hiring someone. Do people complain when British actors play Batman, Nelson Mandela or Scarlett O'Hara?
