Really, what's so hard to understand?

I'll tell you what I don't understand...people who don't understand why she did this and even worse are the ones who call her evil.

It's pretty straightforward. The woman has a mental illness. An inferiority complex that causes her to manipulate situations and people so that she is placed into a position of being praised as a boost to her non-existent self esteem.

She is NOT evil. She is sick. People are so hyperbolic just because of the sensitivity of 9/11. If she had stolen money or gained in any other material ways from this, I may be compelled to call her evil. As it stands, though, the woman just needs help. She obviously came from a corrupt and messed up family and it affected her. Have some friggin' compassion for people. When you don't, YOU are the evil one.

Just saw the doco on TV here-while she didn't gain financial benefits, she did get a position of power, influence and control over other people that rather resembles a cult leader-she caused real harm to a number of people by her actions and probably would have continued until now if not exposed-as a non citizen of the US I would have thought she would have been deported back to Spain for the medical system there to deal with her.
