How did she pay for her lifestyle? She def. ate well

What did she do for money? What was her income? It is not cheap to live in an apartment in new york. Obviously she ate well. They said she never worked for Merill Lynch.
They state she did not steal any money from the various organizations she worked with.
They stated that her family had lost everything because of the prison time and the scandal with her family in Italy. So there was NO longer a wealthy family back home to help her financially.
It takes a lot of money to just vanish. We are talking loads of cash. SO-what did she do for money? I don't know about you, but that is one giant red flag to me.
I have read about real survivors getting cash from the government. Did she? That would be fraud etc... There is no doubt in my mind that the "powers that be" could nail her to a cross if they wanted to do so. Why don't they?
Let's face it. If she even got "compt" a hotel room or free meal because she was a "survivor" she has broken the law IMO.
Pretending to be a US citizen has to be illegal. Using and living under a false name to avoid the US immigration has to be illegal. This woman needs to be punished, not only because she broke the law, but because she has spit in the face of the real survivors as well as those who died.

Nobody has any input about this?

I have no idea, really, but she probably had some sort of trust set up for her by her father. Swiss bank accounts, etc. If her father had been sly and corrupt enough to do all the stuff he did, he was smart enough to have hidden assets in his children's names, or irrevocable trusts, or whatever rich people do. It probably wasn't a fortune, but enough for her to live in a nice apartment and not have to work.

with her family in Italy

She was from Barcelona, Spain.

Just watched it and wondered the same. How could she rent an office to conduct meetings? Where was she getting the money? Maybe she was employed but her employers didn't want to be known, idk.

bluemagicmist,
You may have hit the nail on the head when you said her employers didn't want to be known. That's the only thing that makes sense to me. With her educational background she probably worked in a high ranking position for a high profile company. Any company that she worked for would suffer horrible PR after she was found out...I wonder if they threatened to sue if their company's name was revealed.

I haven't seen this documentary but have heard of her and recently saw a segment on her on "Tabloid with Jerry Springer." I also was wondering how she was getting her money because in the end they said she was lying about working for Merrill-Lynch, but they didn't say what type of work she was doing. They only mentioned that nothing she did was a crime so they couldn't arrest her. They claim she is still living in New York because people have spotted her.

I assumed that she had a job the whole time. Part of the docu said that she was a competetive employee. I bet her employer put a lot of work into hiding their name. What a nightmare! Bad PR like that could put a company out of business, even though they were duped by her fake stories.

In the beginning her friend states that she came from a very well off family and she moved in the highest social circles. Seeing as her family was rich and had euros and our economy quickly plummeted I'm sure it was easy for them to afford her life style and food in take

Yeah actually I do. I know that I am a better person than her for not exploiting and using others emotions after an unbelievable tragedy just to get attention. I am also overweight so I can call her FAT all day long. Perhaps you are the one who needs to "grow up".
