So, what is "extreme right"? I just love this leftist lingo... What is has to do with historical facts? Are you going to write the history for all of us?
And yes, I am right, not necessarily "extremely". I have a pleasure to remember these years, I took part in it, and YOU know what the "extreme left" told you.

I am not from extreme left. And I am not the one who tries to write history for anybody. You started the thread accusing the film or Walesa's story to be the biggest lie. What is that lie then?

reply

I wasn't the one who started this thread. There are many witnesses to Walesa activities back then; this is not a place to argue, but this movie deals only with the "official" story, as approved by Walesa.
Just to tip you off - while being a president he requested original documents from secret service files regarding his activities as an agent. Then, he returned them sealed but with torn out pages. And so on, so on... He likes to lie, that's a fact. Several documentaries about him, or including interviews with him are shelved and cannot be shown. So, if you supress the truth, or information it means there is something to hide...

I know about that "agent" story. And I am not defending Walesa, he's not credible enough but I also don't believe all these "walesa was just an agent" and "communism fall in poland was staged by communists" people and their stories. These people obviously have some hidden agendas of their own, like for example discrediting those that did the revolution to cover up the fact that they didn't do that much when the history was calling.

Of course, it's not as black and white, but general idea is that Walesa was just an informer who was "made" a leader but then he got out of control and went astray.
He was not a single person who made a communism fall (he claims that)he was a leader but it was a common work of millions of people. Today, many of his followers perceive Walesa quite differently and he fights in courts with anyone who tries to shed some light on these events of the past.

Here we agree. It's never ever black & white. I thinkh the fact that he was an agent and got out of control is shown in the movie. And yes Walesa has huge ego, and ofcourse he was not alone in dismantling the system.

You really do think you know it all, don't you? And sure you - and what magic! You know what his "followers" think. Of course you do. Like all right wingers, you think yourself a psychic.
