A couple of questions that occured to me after seeing this film.
Is it on limited release in the UK? Scotland only?
The background will not be well known outside Scotland I think.
Someone told me that although the film is set in and around Glasgow it was actually filmed in London?
I must say that the locations in the film looked ok to me so I guess it does not really matter as long as it looks right.
Answering one of my own questions.
Looking at the official website for the film it seems it was filmed in London,the website says due to issues with the police in Glasgow who not surprisingly did not like the negative image shown in the film.
But I don't know if this is correct,I doubt the police decide if a film can be made anywhere,Glasgow Council might have been negative about the film since it does not exactly show Glasgow in a good light.
Filming was done in London, however there was some panoramic views filmed in Glasgow.
The Police AND Glasgow city council both refused to help with filming 'The Wee Man' due to the subject matter which basically meant filming could not take place in Glasgow (e.g. the Police would not help with road closures which would've made filming impossible!)

I understand that the Glasgow City Council would be against the film.
They spend millions of pounds of my money on slogan like "GLASGOW-SCOTLAND WITH STYLE",which is true to some extent but is not the whole story.
But if the council had agreed the police would just have to do what they are told,up till now anyway because we will soon have a national police force subject no doubt to central political control from the NATS.
