SOUNDTRACK QUESTION

Looks like I am the only person who has seen this film or has any interest in it?
Early days perhaps.

Anyway the music used in the film is interesting (to me a music fan anyway).
The setting of the film goes from 1974-2010? and yet there is little period music.
The music used is sort of blues rock,do we hear some FRANKIE MILLER at one point?
Anybody know if the music was written for the film or is it some famous band I don't recognise?

reply

Not certain about all tracks used in film, but I do know The View contributed a track and Scott Peden (actor who played Joe Hanlon) is a musician and his track 'Dead Mans Shoes' from his album 'The Complete and Utter Confidence of Ignorance' was played when Paul heads into the Provenmill Inn to meet Arthur and Junior for the first time.

The main celtic theme/score 'which I thought was brilliant and kinda melancholic' that opens and closes the film, was done by John Beckett (former 'Adam and the Ants' guitarist turned movie composer) and when it plays at the end of the movie the same track's vocals provided by Brooke Burdis, the directors daughter.

Hope this is useful.

Thanks for the reply,it explains why I don't recognise the songs.
