[spoilers] So, did he do it on purpose?

Considering he had arranged everything down to the time the pizza arrives and the money in the envelope, do you think he purposely left the webcam recording? Maybe as an art project? Or he merely didn't care (being dead and all) and we got a happy accident of a movie?
