This film was not FUNNY at all. The script was lame like always when it comes to Roberts films. The dialogues was over the top and the acting was bad.
I know that we Swedish people mostly have bad taste when it comes to films but
this one was pure crap cinema. Wasted 100 kr on this crap.
My advice, save the money, energi and time and just watch Stalkers on channel 3.

You Sir, are an ass. I'm Scottish and have just watched this on a flight from Osaka. I genuinely have never laughed out loud aa much in a pubic place as I Did with this movie. Thought it was original and downright funny. Bricktop cameo was sublime. Bought the DVD on arriving homso I could share with my mates.

You found GHP funny, fvck now I've heard everything. Quite possibly the worst British "comedy" ever made. That may explain why you found this film funny as well. Alan Ford just did what he has done in every film I've seen him in.
So, your biggest problem with this is that Alan Ford played the only character he is capable of playing? After auditioning for a part that called for the type of character he specialises in?
Why get so hung up about a minor character anyway?
The 100 Year Old Man is a very funny, completely over the top farce and that's all anyone should treat it as.
I had two big problems with the film..
The dialogue is one of the most retarded things ever in movie history, B porn grade to be honest.
And the movie just tried to have so much things at the same time, didnt focus on the build up for the flashbacks. It felt so rushed.
It's really weird that some Swedes don't like homegrown movies. Usually, they're great, at least those that get international release. I'd say you have all the reason to be proud of your national movie production, it has produced a lot of really great films.

I agree that this movies is a bit weak and many flaws with paceing and joke inceptions.
But the OP being from Sweden and talking bad about themselves, when Sweden is one of the most important cinema countries, really surprised me.
I would think cinema to be kind of a proud to their citizens.
Maybe hollywood do brainwash everyone all over the world.
I also heard a colleague of mine, who is german, talking bad about german cinema and how there was no good/important filme from there.
Sad. People should diversify the movies they go watch, instead of always only galaxians racoons, flying superheroes and exploding robot=cars.
