Watch in USA?

Is this movie due for release in the US? Theaters or DVD? Any other way to watch it?

reply

I read an interview today that said it might be released in the US, but it isnt decided yet. The book was never popular in the us that's why it might not be in cinema there.

It's on Netflix now.

I just looked on Netflix and didn't find it. Maybe you are thinking about Amazon Prime or iTunes? I saw it in the cinema today in St. Louis.

reply

It has played in the NYC Metro area theaters this month, as well as at the Scandinavian House.

Playing the Bijou Metro (art cinema house) in Eugene, OR as of last Friday. Saw it today, loved it. Scandinavian humor always gets me and the visual storytelling was a wonderful component of it. Reminded me a little bit of the old Peter Sellers flick "Being There" as well as touches of "Waking Ned Devine" and "The Grand Budapest Hotel", especially in the way the story was organized. There's probably zero budget for promoting this in the U.S. but I've already told every friend and relative who loves movies to look for this one.

I just watched a dvd of it from my local public library in MA.
