Why Argentina..?

There are in the movie 2 clear reference to Argentina.

1° - In the first scene, where Monika is posing nude for an artist, the painter has a shirt with this words in her backs: Buenos Aires - Costa del Sol.

2° - When the girls are playing football they talk about the famouse Maradona´s hand goal at the Mexico ´86 World Cup (There are a mistake, because they talk about German and the Maradona´s goal was against UK, but this is not important)

Somebody know, why this reference to Argentina ?
The writer or the director have lived in Argentina ? or maybe they have an argentinien friends. (?)
