Ha ha wanted to see if anyone else commented on how bad both couples were. Craig had to give them the answers because even after rhyming the names they were clueless. It was like they didn't realize they had to know celebrity names to play, but I couldn't imagine they would have been better if the topic was something else. That was so bad, but kind of funny to watch.

There was one case where they had a black couple that did terrible and a white couple that did spectacularly and they went into the final something like $2300 to $400....

Add the final topic was: Celebrity Rappers

Might as well have been 'stuff no white person would possibly know'

The black couple won and they went on to totally suck in the final.

That was the least fair show I ever saw. They need to try to maintain some kind of balance. Picking a category for the battle round that favours one side so massively is totally unfair.

> Might as well have been 'stuff no white person would possibly know'

You wrote this in June, but there's 3 white rappers--Eminem, Vanilla Ice, and Iggy Azlea/African American I can name off the top of my head (and fine, I had to check the spelling on the last one) and I'm not black. I don't have the episode to see what rappers were in the list, but Ice-T (who is a cast member on Law and Order: SUV), 50 Cent, Sean Diddy Combs, Mark Wahlberg (who is white/caucasian), Kanye West and Jay Z follow up.

I don't really listen to any rap music unless it goes into the Top 40, and I don't really like listening to Iggy's Azlea "Fancy" or when Eminem had his music became Top 40ish on the radio. The list I made is by the order I named them, also I did also have to check if they were rappers for certainty. But several of these names are fairly mainstream. From entertainment commenters, rapper use to be less mainstream years ago than it is now. It does depend on what type of music the contestant listens to, or even if they recognize the profiles of the celebrities that need to be named. Although $2300 vs $400 with the first to $3000, can't say much on there.

Whether the rappers were white isn't the issue just that the category strongly favours black contestants. I could actually name a few rappers, but there is no way it would be a fair fight between a randomly picked black person and a randomly picked white person where it comes to naming rappers. I don't think that is a particularly controversial stance to take. It isn't just a question of who might know the names and know they are rappers, it is who can do it fastest.

This was a case where they were going to the final round something like $2300 to 400 and didn't have a chance. They were a good team that knew every subject really well EXCEPT rap. It struck me as a monumentally unfair final category subject. I would have a similar comment if it had been a couple in their 60s against a bunch of 20 somethings and the subject was 'Billy Joel Songs'.

I don't know if you realize how ignorant your comment is but let me assure you it's pretty freaking ignorant. Black people are good for knowing rap music but white people are at a disadvantage. The facts don't support your ridiculous statement when the FACT of the matter is that the biggest consumer of rap/hip hop are sure urban white boys. So there's that. And for the record this show isn't naming obscure underground rappers either, they name very popular mainstream ones that pretty much everyone of every race has heard of.

As for your Billy Joel comparison, he is a great musician that has cemented his place in music but unfortunately he isn't relevant with the youth so no a fair comparison.

This train wreck was funny to watch.

This show is scripted you idiots.

Craig barely follows a script when he has one, so that seems unlikely. I don't doubt specific jokes might be setup with the celebrities ahead of time but for the most part Craig spend the first 2 years of his late night talk show following what was written on the teleprompter but by the 5th year he was barely following it except for a small handful of pre-written jokes. It isn't really his thing.

I will agree with those saying things have gotten racier this year.

Not the worst ever but the guy today in the 20000$ game was completely lost

he turned around not once but twice after getting a name right and for his final one got completely lost on the board not knowing which name was remaining

Did everyone know that the Leaning Tower of Pisa is a NATURAL MONUMENT? It is! At least according to contestant Joi on a rerun from 02/06/15.

The team of lawyers today were more than awful in the second round, that guy was so bad

reply

And the worst part is the show that aired immediately before that one had two really good teams, the loser of which could have beaten both of the second show's teams working together even if they were handicapped with a list of 5 additional words they couldn't say for each clue.
