question is this just me? possible spoiler

was this an after thought? I watched the movie basically enjoyed it. Not a fan of mandy moore but I like zachary Levi, for anyone who has seen Chuck and likes spy series, you can relate.

at the end of the movie, Flyn (levi) explains that he asks rapunzal several times to marry him, to which she finally gives in. My question is why didn't they make the movie a few minutes longer and incorporate a wedding scene into it? Does hollywood think that the public's attention span has really gotten that bad we can't sit around for a few extra minutes to have closure in a movie? especially a decent movie? what would another ten maybe even 15 minutes have been to show a short wedding scene between to two? I've seen credits in movies longer than that and the movie itself was barely worth watching.

there are many movies that combine closure scenes into the credits to wrap up the movie. sometimes they are outtakes of a comedy movie, others are just pictures of the characters lives after the main events of the movie.

just some thoughts, don't know if anyone agrees.

In the original concept drawings there was indeed a wedding. After Tangled's huge success and they saw that people wanted the wedding, they made this comical short. Also to be fair Eugene/Flynn says it took "years and years of asking and asking" to convince her, so Tangled Ever After probably takes place a good several years later.

if it was several years after .. why's her hair still short and spikey... at least spikey ;)

I don't think her hair CAN grow, if you can believe that. Think back to Tangled when Gothel cut that strand of hair from Rapunzel when she was a baby. Well it never grew with the rest of her hair, it was still brown and short even when the rest of her hair was long and golden.

that is a good point .. but maybe it can be combed and styled?. (eh, I don't have a prob with it.)

1. They did show the wedding scene. You got the march up the aisle from both perspectives and the kiss. What more was there to show for? Sure, getting some more character insights would have been nice, but we already know theyre both feeling great, and the time disconnect between the short and the end of the movie (minus epliogue) would have been hard to work with from there. Mushy words were hardly necessary either.

An after-party would have been superfulous.

2. It's a short film. It's not supposed to be long, nor is it supposed to be 10-15 mins long. It's natural that credits would be longer with all the names that get mentioned; I'm pretty sure most end credits are longer than most short films.

3. Short films are short because they are not what people come to the theatres to see, for the most part. I'm sure may people did not expect the short film in front of Beauty and the Beast.

We already got plenty of closure for Rapunzel and Flynn. We know they get marrie, get accepted, live happily ever after from Tangled. Here, we see them smooch, get married, and live happily ever after. There's not anything else to be shown considering it's a short film.
