Should have been better...

I think it was the writing/directing that screwed this up. They had the technical prowess to pull something off, and actors that could do it justice, but something got dropped on the way home from the store. Kinda dumb, because I think it could have been good if the story was tighter and they kept the cheese out.

BTW, I don't mean ALL the acting was good, but JCVD and his group basically played the "baddies" but there was still enough actors left to pull something off. A few nice performances, but poor pacing (as others have said) and an unnecessarily convoluted story line. Bummer.
